Vespa brand launches luxury scooter; Powerful look and exclusive features

Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Vespa has launched a special edition scooter ‘Tech 80’ in India to mark the brand’s 80th anniversary. This special model will be available in two engine options namely 125 cc and 150 cc. Traditional design and modern technology have been used while making this scooter. Vespa has launched a new special edition to celebrate 80 years of the scooter brand.

The most unique part of this scooter is its design. It features a light green color called Verde Pastello, inspired by the Vespa scooters of the early 1940s. The same color is also seen in many parts of the skirt. E.g. Front shield trim, mirrors, handles and suspension parts. This unique green color is used in the seat, foot rest and handle grips. Which makes its retro (old style) look even more attractive. Overall this scooter is a great combination of old design and new features.

This scooter is diesel based on the first Vespa model produced in 1946. Even its wheels have been given a retro look of an older model like the Vespa 98. Green color is also given on it. Which gives a diamond cut finish. A special 80th bench with Vespa logo has been installed at the front. Which marks her 80th birthday. On the back side 80 years of Vespa Est. 1946 has been specially marked. Which means it is a limited edition scooter. And specially prepared for the celebration.

Tech 80th Vespa is built with current parts while preserving its traditional style. It retains the standard range hardware and safety features. The 125 cc variant is powered by a 124.4 cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine. Which generates 9.5 horsepower and 10.1 Nm of torque. While the 150 cc version is powered by a 149.5 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 11.4 horsepower and 11.6 Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a CVT automatic transmission.
