At present there are many commands of Army, Air Force and Navy. Now under a major change, it is proposed to abolish all the commands and create three theater commands in their place. According to news channel Aaj Tak, CDS General Anil Chauhan has sent the proposal to create three new theater commands to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. After the approval of Rajnath Singh, this proposal will go to the upper level. After getting approval from there, three integrated theater commands of Army, Air Force and Navy will be formed.

This will bring more efficiency in dealing with any enemy activity in Pakistan, China and the maritime border. According to the news, Western Command will be formed for Pakistan. At the same time, Northern Command will be created for China and Maritime Command will be created for the maritime border. The responsibility of Western Command will be handled by a four star officer of the Air Force. The responsibility of Northern Command will be given to a four star officer of the Army and the head of Maritime Command will be given to a four star officer of the Navy. In these commands, the post of Deputy Chief will be held by an officer of another service. According to the proposal, the strategic weapons of the Air Force will be controlled from Delhi only. If this proposal is approved, then after independence the army will be seen in a new form and its operations against the enemy will become stronger.

Officers and soldiers of the Army, Air Force and Navy will work together in all three theater commands. This will maintain harmony during any war or operation. At present, the Army, Air Force and Navy do not take decisions together. Whatever decision the heads of the three new theater commands take, will be applicable to the officers and soldiers of all the armies. General Bipin Rawat, who was CDS, had proposed this. After his death in the helicopter accident, the new CDS Anil Chauhan has prepared and sent the proposal.
