New Delhi. Monday brought dual experiences for the people of Delhi. On one hand, the scorching sun and hot winds made the condition of people miserable throughout the day, while in the afternoon, a sudden dust storm with a speed of 61 kilometers per hour provided some relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast that similar changes will continue for the next three days from Tuesday.

Mercury reached 42.3 degrees, 43.8 degrees were recorded in the ridge.

On Monday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 42.3 degrees Celsius, 3.3 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 25 degrees. The highest temperature was recorded at 43.8 degrees in the Ridge area and 43.3 degrees in Ayanagar. The humidity level in the air dropped from 60 to just 20 percent.

Strong storm in the afternoon, 61 km/h speed in Pragati Maidan

There was a strong storm in the capital between quarter to three and quarter to four in the afternoon. Wind speed was recorded at 61 km per hour at Pragati Maidan, 54 at Pusa, 48 at Naraina, 46 at Lodhi Road and 41 km per hour at Pitampura. Late in the evening, dust storm and strong winds again hit the capital.

Cyclonic circulation is the reason for weather change

According to weather experts, this change has occurred due to the cyclonic circulation formed over Central Pakistan, North-West Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. This circulation is moving towards the north-east of the country due to which dust and sand coming from Rajasthan are causing dust storms in the entire region.

Temperature likely to drop by April 30

According to Skymet’s Mahesh Palawat, this disturbance can affect Delhi by April 30 and there is a possibility of drop in temperature. There may be rain in some parts of Rajasthan and Haryana. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be cloudy on Tuesday, there are chances of strong winds of 40 to 60 km per hour and light rain, although the maximum temperature will remain around 42 degrees.
