Gangtok, 28 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on Sikkim tour. On Tuesday morning, PM Modi enjoyed football with local children in the capital Gangtok. PM has shared some pictures on social media while playing football with children. PM Modi has posted many pictures in his ex-post in which he is seen playing football with local children and interacting with them. During this time the PM is completely dressed as a player. PM reached Gangtok on the evening of 27 April. His Tuesday schedule is going to be very busy. After spending time with the children, the Prime Minister will visit the Orchidarium in Gangtok. He will participate in the closing ceremony of the celebrations of the 50th year of statehood of Sikkim at Paljor Stadium, where he will inaugurate, launch and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 4,000 crore across the state. He will also address the gathering on this occasion.
These projects cover a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture, and are aimed at accelerating overall and inclusive development in Sikkim. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate indoor cricket facilities at Mining, Rangpo in Pakyong district to promote youth participation and sports development. This visit of PM Modi is an important achievement in the golden jubilee year of Sikkim becoming a state and reflects the continued commitment of the present government towards the rapid and sustainable development of the state and the North-Eastern region.
