Prime Minister Modi attended the court of Srikashi Vishwanath, showered love on children, left for Hardoi
Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi duly attended the Golden Darbar of Kashipuradhipati Baba Vishwanath on Wednesday morning, the last day of his two-day visit to Varanasi. Amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, five Brahmins including Archak Om Prakash Mishra performed Shodshopachara puja and abhishek of Baba’s sacred Jyotirlinga in the golden sanctum sanctorum of the temple. During this, the Prime Minister also showed his affection and reverence towards Kashipuradhipati and chanted mantras and wished for happiness and prosperity in the country.
After the darshan and worship, the Prime Minister greeted the Shiva devotees present in the temple premises. The Prime Minister, who is on his 54th visit to Kashi, entered the Kashi Vishwanath Temple amid the blowing of conch shells by 51 Brahmins. During this, chants of Har Har Mahadev were raised. The Chairman of the Temple Trust and other officials welcomed Prime Minister Modi amidst the sound of drums and conch shells in the Dham. After performing formal darshan and puja at Kashi Vishwanath temple, the Prime Minister left for Babatpur airport to go to Hardoi.
Before this, at around eight in the morning, Prime Minister Modi left for Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple from Bareka Guest House. The Prime Minister reached Manduwadih intersection via Kakarmatta ROB from Bareka Guest House, then via Phulwariya flyover and reached Hockey intersection of Central Jail Road while doing a road show. From here via JP Mehta Tiraha, I came to Ambedkar Square, Police Line Tiraha via Kachari Golghar. Reached the temple by covering a distance of about 14 kilometers from Police Line Tiraha via Maqbool Alam Road via Chowkaghat, Lahurabir, Kabirchaura, Maidagin. During this time, BJP workers and people of Kashi gave an unprecedented welcome on the way by playing drums, drums, damru and conch shells along with showering rose petals and chanting Har Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram. People showered flowers along the entire procession route. Har Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram were chanted throughout the route. People were seen welcoming Prime Minister Modi by showering rose petals. Overwhelmed by the love, affection and feeling of belongingness of the people of Kashi, PM Modi could not stop himself and kept moving ahead accepting their greetings by shaking hands.
After the darshan puja, local BJP leaders presented a trident and a damru to Prime Minister Modi. After this, the Prime Minister greeted the devotees of Shiva by showing them trident and damru and chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’. During this time, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, State Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar etc. were also present. After the darshan puja at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Prime Minister Modi showered love on the children who came for darshan at the temple square and talked to them and caressed their heads affectionately. When he asked the children something, they were seen laughing.
