TMC Protest Strong Room Controversy: Voting for West Bengal Elections 2026 has been completed. After the voting, everyone is now waiting for May 4 when the counting of votes will be done. However, even before this there has been an uproar in Kolkata. TMC leaders Shashi Panja and Kunal Ghosh are sitting on a dharna in front of the strong room, outside the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Amidst this uproar, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has also reached outside the strong room. TMC leaders have started high voltage drama here. TMC leaders Shashi Panja and Kunal Ghosh alleged that BJP and ECI officials were trying to open the boxes without the presence of the respective party representatives.

Kunal Ghosh made allegations

Kunal Ghosh alleged, you can see in the live streaming and CCTV cameras of the Election Commission that some people are working inside. None of our representatives are inside. They are not letting us go inside. They are asking us to talk to other candidates. Why should we take responsibility for other candidates?

Shashi Panja made allegations of irregularities

Shashi Panja also expressed concern and said that we are concerned that there should not be any kind of manipulation. Why are we not being shown all this? TMC leader Shashi Panja said who are the people inside the strong room? No one can go inside the strong room. We should be aware of what is happening inside the strong room. Expressing apprehension that the system may be messed up, he said that there are shortcomings in the system and something wrong is going on.

Security forces deployed at the gate of the strong room

Security forces have been deployed at the gate of a strong room in Kolkata. TMC leaders Shashi Panja and Kunal Ghosh are sitting on a dharna right here, outside the Netaji Indoor Stadium. They are alleging that BJP and ECI officials are trying to open the boxes without the presence of the respective party representatives.
