Kanpur. The matter heated up after the death of a woman under suspicious circumstances on Old Shivli Road in Kalyanpur police station area. The people of the deceased’s maternal family blocked the road by placing the dead body on the road demanding justice.
Suspected of suicide, husband in custody
It is being told that the woman had committed suicide yesterday. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and sent the woman to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The police took immediate action and took the deceased’s husband into custody.
Demand for arrest of other accused
Today the angry family members blocked the Old Shivli Road by keeping the body of the woman on the road and started demanding the arrest of other accused in the case. Traffic in the area was affected due to the jam.
Police took charge
Kalyanpur police station reached the spot and controlled the situation after convincing the family members. According to the police, on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered under relevant sections.
One accused arrested, raid continues
Police said that one accused has been arrested, while teams have been formed to search for other accused.
Children were handed over to relatives
The demand for return of the children was also raised by the family members. The police intervened and handed over the children to their family members, after which the situation returned to normal.
