Awareness camp organized in residential school Gurmura on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, important information given

In order to implement the action plan of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow for the year 2026-27, a legal awareness camp was organized by Rahul Civil Judge CD/Secretary (Full Time), District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra on 01.05.2026 at Atal Residential School, Gurmura on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. In which Rahul Civil Judge CD/Secretary (full time) District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra, Achala Pandey Deputy Labor Commissioner Mirzapur, Pipri, Vijay Pratap Yadav Assistant Labor Commissioner, Pipri Sonbhadra, Shivendra Pratap Singh Labor Enforcement Officer, Robertsganj, Dinesh Chandra Saroj Labor Enforcement Officer Pipri, Sonbhadra, Principal Atal Residential School, Gurmura and Shamsher Bahadur Singh Chief L.A.D.C. Sonbhadra and about 70 workers and 100 children were present.
On this occasion, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra told the people present that laborers, workers and toilers play an important role in any society, country, institution and industry. A large number of them are engaged with their hands, intelligence, knowledge and physical strength for its success. Owners, capital, workers and government are important factors for success in any industry. No industrial structure can survive without workers. The day is seen as an important step towards protecting the rights of workers, improving their working conditions and social justice.
Apart from this, the Secretary (Full Time) also made the workers and children aware about various schemes run by NALSA (NALSA Jagriti Yojana, Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana, Legal services for unorganized sector workers, Poverty Alleviation Scheme, Legal services to drug victims, DAWN Unit), NALSA Helpline No. 15100 and various other schemes.
Other officials present told that various schemes are being run by the government for the overall development of the workers. The workers present in the program were made aware to avail the benefits of various schemes run by the government and were also made aware to stay away from drug abuse. On this occasion, all the paralegal volunteers of the district also made the people aware by participating in the programs organized in their respective areas.
