Hyderabad: Ram Charan has completed shooting for his upcoming sports drama Peddi, with cinematographer Rathnavelu confirming the development through a social media post.
Describing the project as a “memorable journey”, Rathnavelu expressed gratitude for collaborating with the actor, praising both his on-screen performance and off-screen camaraderie.
Emotional wrap announcement
Sharing the update, Rathnavelu wrote that working with Ram Charan had been “truly special”, calling him a “powerhouse performer” and a “wonderful friend”.
The post also tagged key members of the film’s team, including director Buchi Babu Sana, music composer A. R. Rahman, and production house Vriddhi Cinemas.
Release delayed for post-production
The film was initially expected to release in theatres on June 25, 2026. However, the makers later announced a postponement to allow additional time for technical work and post-production.
In a statement, the production team said the talkie portions of the film had been completed, with only one song left to be shot. They added that the delay was aimed at achieving “absolute perfection” in the final output.
A revised release date is yet to be officially announced.

Apart from Ram Charan, the film features Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
A recently released poster titled “Peddi Pehelwan” showcased Ram Charan in the role of a wrestler, generating considerable buzz among fans.
