Warning, murmur and old tension, why is Brij Bhushan increasing BJP’s tension?
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is in the news these days. Brij Bhushan, who did not get a ticket from his own party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, is no longer a member of any House but continues to be in the news. Now one of his questions is increasing the concern of his own party BJP. Meanwhile, there are reports floating around from Lucknow that Brij Bhushan is growing closer to the Samajwadi Party. Regarding Brij Bhushan, who was once a SP leader, Akhilesh Yadav has also said that time will tell what the circumstances will be. In such a situation, Brij Bhashun’s warning, his insistence on not going to Parliament and his announcement have created a stir in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
BJP did not give ticket to Brij Bhushan Singh in 2024, surrounded by allegations of women wrestlers. His son Karan Bhushan was given the ticket in his place. Brij Bhushan somehow agreed on this but later he called it a conspiracy. He has also said in an interview that he will definitely return to the House from which he was expelled at least once.
Will Brij Bhushan Singh join SP?
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who often questions the policies of BJP, has been vocal on many decisions many times. Be it the UGC issue or the politics of radical Hindutva, Brij Bhushan has many times said such things which hurt the BJP. Recently he was on a stage where many Kshatriya leaders from Uttar Pradesh were there. From the same platform, he said that if he is not needed then let him know, he will show it in 2027 and 2029. It is being said that he was talking about the upper castes along with the Kshatriyas.

Recently Dainik Bhaskar newspaper has written in its report that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh can join Samajwadi Party just before the elections and he is also in talks with Akhilesh Yadav. In the same report, it has been said that the talks between the two are in the final stages and Brij Bhushan Singh can join SP in September-October. Interestingly, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has praised Akhilesh Yadav on many occasions. Not only this, Akhilesh and Samajwadi Party also do not make statements against Brij Bhushan Singh.
the relationship is old
While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has said, ‘I am currently in BJP. I also got an offer from Congress but I refused. I have good relations with Mulayam Singh Yadav and even better relations with Akhilesh Yadav. Any decision regarding the future will be taken on the basis of the opinion of the supporters.
Let us tell you that after being expelled from BJP in 2008, Brij Bhushan Singh had joined Samajwadi Party and became MP on its ticket in 2009. He was in SP till 2012 but joined BJP before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Preparation to expand the family
Karan Bhushan, a son of Brij Bhushan Singh, is the MP of Kaiserganj. Whereas, the second son Prateek Bhushan is a BJP MLA. Now Brij Bhushan Singh’s daughter Shalini Singh has become increasingly active in the last few months and she is also talking about contesting elections from Noida. It is being said that Brij Bhushan, who is preparing other members of his family for politics, is busy increasing his political weight. On the basis of his old relations, he is also seeing an opportunity in Samajwadi Party.
On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party, which is running strongly with Dalits and backward classes, also needs some strong upper caste leaders. There seems to be a dearth of Kshatriya and Brahmin leaders in the Samajwadi Party due to Raja Bhaiya, Abhay Singh and many such other leaders leaving it. In such a situation, if a leader like Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh comes with him, then apart from Gonda-Balrampur, it can also affect many surrounding districts and Kshatriya dominated seats. Besides, the army of Thakur leaders seen standing behind Yogi Adityanath may also be breached.
What did Akhilesh say?
After these news, when Akhilesh Yadav was asked a question about Brij Bhushan Singh, he said, ‘If I tell you the truth, so many people of PDA are ready in the BJP government that they want to leave everything. There are so many suffering, sad, insulted. Where those former MPs and leaders of Gonda have also been with us. Only he can make the political situation better and what turn it will take in politics.
