Central government gave big relief: Great news regarding LPG supply
New Delhi. Amidst the ongoing concerns regarding LPG across the country, the Central Government has clarified that the supply of domestic gas remains completely normal. Despite the ongoing tension in West Asia, there is no shortage of LPG anywhere in the country, which has brought great relief to common consumers.
Delivery and booking at record level
According to government data, around 49.8 lakh LPG cylinders were distributed in a single day recently, while bookings for 41.6 lakh new cylinders were recorded. This shows that the supply chain is active and gas is being made available as per demand. Online booking has also increased and has reached almost 98 percent, providing convenient service to the consumers.
Strict action on black marketing
The government has made it clear that strict steps are being taken across the country to stop hoarding and black marketing. Recently raids were conducted at more than 2,300 places. Apart from this, public sector oil companies imposed fine on 342 LPG agencies and licenses of 73 were suspended.
Transparent delivery system implemented
To bring transparency in LPG distribution, code based delivery system has been implemented on the registered mobile numbers of consumers. This system has now reached about 93 percent, due to which the chances of irregularities have reduced.
Appeal to people: Do not panic and buy
The government has appealed to the people not to make additional purchases of gas or fuel due to rumors or panic. Adequate stock of petrol, diesel and gas is available across the country.
