Death toll in Shahdara reaches 9

A major accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when a massive fire broke out in a building in Vivek Vihar, Shahdara, Delhi. At least 9 people have lost their lives in this fire so far, while many people have suffered serious burns. According to the fire department, information about the incident was received by the fire control room at around 3:47 in the morning. After this, 14 fire engines were immediately sent to the spot, which started relief and rescue operations.

In the initial investigation, the cause of the fire is believed to be a blast in the AC. However, investigation is underway to find out the exact cause from which part or floor of the building the fire started.
