The young man wanted to drink alcohol; Nine year old child not given water, shot dead
Police arrested the accused
Etah/Kasganj. During the naming ceremony in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, a youth shot a nine-year-old child for not giving him water to mix in liquor, who died during treatment. Police said that the accused of this incident which took place in Yakutganj village of Sahawar police station area of the district has been arrested.
According to Anuj, uncle of the deceased child, the incident happened on Friday. The naming ceremony of the child was going on in the house of Yakutganj resident Jasveer Gola, in which relatives and villagers participated. Dhanesh Yadav, a relative of Jasveer and a resident of Soron police station area, was also present there. Anuj told that Dhanesh was drinking and asked Jasveer’s nine-year-old son Yashpal alias Yash to bring water.
Police said that when Yash refused, drunk Dhanesh lost his temper and shot Yash in the stomach.
Officials said that as soon as the bullet was fired, there was a stampede at the event. Bleeding Yash was taken to Kasganj District Hospital. When his condition became critical, the doctors referred him to Aligarh. Yash died during treatment in Aligarh on Saturday. There was mourning in the village due to the death of the child. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot.
Police station in-charge Govind Ballabh Sharma said that a case was immediately registered on the complaint of the victim’s family. Kasganj police took prompt action and arrested the accused near Khitauli Canal Bridge. The pistol used in the murder has also been recovered from him.
Kasganj Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar Bharti said that the process of sending the accused to jail is being completed. He said that the police is seriously investigating every aspect of the case.
