Congress blasts on election results, Pawan Kheda calls Election Commission a friend of slush, alleges vote theft and rigging through SIR

digital desk- After the election results of five states of the country, the round of allegations and counter-allegations has intensified in the political circles. Senior Congress leader and media department head Pawan Kheda, in a press conference, attacked the Election Commission and the ruling party and raised serious questions on the entire election process. Kheda has raised issues ranging from ‘vote theft’ to ‘delimitation’ and SIR for election rigging. Pawan Kheda, while mentioning SIR in the press conference, alleged that through it deliberate targeted vote cutting has been done. He claimed that in seats where the margin of victory and defeat was less, 10 to 20 thousand important votes were systematically deducted. Khera taunted and said that first the votes were stolen and now the system is being attacked through delimitation.

Sharp attack on Election Commission

Questioning the impartiality of the Election Commission, Pawan Kheda said that the job of the Election Commission was to stop hate speeches and the spread of ‘mud’ in the society, but the Commission itself was seen wallowing in that ‘mud’. He also made a direct attack on Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging that “he has joined hands with the thieves and is taking them to the Assembly.” Kheda talked about complete ‘capture’ of the election process.

Counterattack on Bengal violence and Muslim League statement

Hitting back at BJP’s allegations of calling Congress ‘Mulim League’, Khera cited statistics. He said that despite there being 78 percent Hindu MLAs and 12 percent Muslim MLAs in Congress ruled states, BJP’s IT cell and mainstream media spread confusion by calling Congress a Muslim League. At the same time, Kheda blamed ‘Delhi’ (Central Government) for the post-poll violence in West Bengal. Terming it as ‘grandfathering’, he appealed to the Prime Minister to stop it. Kheda demanded that re-polling should be conducted in those seats of Bengal where people were prevented from voting and where the victory margin is very less. He also urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance of this matter. Commenting on the results of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Kheda said that the lotus did not bloom in these states because ‘mud’ could not be spread there. On the question of supporting Vijay’s party TVK, he said that this decision has been taken to stop the politics of hatred (mud) in the state. He also gave a befitting reply to those who mentioned the incidents of 2013.
