Mumbai Taj-Trident threat, accused in custody, police investigation ongoing!

There was a stir on Wednesday after receiving a threatening call regarding Taj Hotel and Trident Hotel located in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. The caller claimed on the phone that there was going to be a terrorist attack in these two hotels.

Immediately after receiving the threat, the hotel management informed the Mumbai Police. As soon as the information was received, Mumbai Police and security agencies came on alert mode. Security arrangements were tightened around both the hotels and surveillance was increased at every nook and corner. Bomb squad and dog squad teams reached the spot and conducted an intensive investigation operation.

According to Mumbai Police, taking the threatening call seriously, security was immediately increased and a technical team was deployed to identify the caller. Taking swift action in this case, the police traced the caller and took him into custody from Sion area of ​​Mumbai. At present the accused is being interrogated.

A Mumbai Police official said that the accused had made the threatening call while under the influence of alcohol. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he was troubled by his domestic problems, due to which he took this step. According to the police, the accused does housekeeping work and his interrogation is ongoing.

Apart from this, on Wednesday itself, Baran and Bikaner district collectorates of Rajasthan also received bomb threats through email. Buildings were evacuated and security was increased after receiving threatening emails.

Officials said the threatening email was received on Wednesday morning. In this, there was a warning of bomb blast in the collectorate. Some strange things were also written in the email, like no one wearing a red saree or red shirt should be allowed inside. The email also talked about using human bombs and also gave some misleading information.
