The oath ceremony of the new CM has taken place in West Bengal today, where Narendra Modi is making more headlines than the new CM Subhendu Adhikari. The elderly man was standing on the stage itself, where Narendra Modi reached and hugged him, then made him wear a shawl and then bowed down and touched his feet. The oath ceremony of West Bengal took place at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, where many big leaders of the BJP party were seen. Apart from Narendra Modi, many big leaders like Smriti Irani, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Mithun Chakraborty were present in this ceremony. The name of the person whose feet was touched by Narendra Modi is Makhanlal Sarkar, who is 98 years old. Now the question arises that what is the connection of Makhanlal government with Narendra Modi.

Who is Makhanlal Sarkar?

 

Makhanlal Sarkar is a senior worker of the BJP party, who not only played a role in laying the foundation of the BJP party but also has his name recorded in the Indian independence movement. After independence, in 1952, Makhanlal government along with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee hoisted the tricolor in Kashmir. After the formation of BJP party, Makhanlal government had joined 10 thousand people with the party in 1980. Apart from this he did many works for the party. Makhanlal government has a special connection with the politics of West Bengal.

What is the connection of Makhanlal government with Bengal?

During the period of 1945, Makhanlal Sarkar was associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. During that time he was a supporter of the nationalist movement. In Bengal, he along with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee became a part of the nationalist movement. During that time, the RSS organization was limited to Bengal only, where the Makhanlal government played a role in the historic struggle of the Sangh by organizing many programs and movements.
