Chandranath Rath Murder Case: Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA Chandranath Rath was murdered in just seconds, the shooters had complete information about the target.

Kolkata. Chandranath Rath, PA of West Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari, was murdered by miscreants by firing indiscriminately on 6 May 2026. The West Bengal government has formed a SIT to investigate the murder of Shubhendu’s PA Chandranath. SIT investigation has revealed that the killers killed Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA in just 45 to 50 seconds and fled away. Apart from this, investigation has also revealed that the shooters knew where Chandranath Rath was sitting in his car. That is, the murder of Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA was carried out in a very professional manner.

Quoting the SIT investigating the murder of Chandranath Rath, news agency PTI has said that a silver colored car stopped the car of Shubhendu’s PA near Dohariya crossing in Madhyamgram. Then the miscreants opened fire and fled away in a red car and bike. The SIT has seen a vehicle in the CCTV footage, which was continuously chasing Chandranath Rath’s car. SIT is busy searching for this vehicle. SIT believes that at least 8 people were involved in the murder of Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA. Who were helped by the local miscreants of Madhyamgram. In this case, the police picked up three history-sheeters from Madhyamgram and interrogated them, but till now the killers could not be found.

Apart from Bihar, the SIT teams investigating the murder of Chandranath Rath have also gone to Badaun and Sambhal in UP. They suspect that Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA was murdered by sharpshooters from UP and Bihar. Police have expressed the possibility of all the vehicles including the car and bike used in the murder of Chandranath Rath being stolen. A big vehicle of the attackers was found near the incident site. Whereas, a bike was recovered in Barasat in North 24 Parganas district, a few kilometers away from Madhyamgram. It has been four days since this incident happened, but the hands of West Bengal Police are still empty. Shubhendu Adhikari had earlier alleged in his statement that Chandranath Rath was probably murdered in revenge for his winning the Bhawanipur seat.
