Bhuvneshwar Kumar Heroics Pull RCB to Thrilling Two-Wicket Win vs Mumbai Indians

Bhuvneshwar Kumar played a crucial role with bat and ball in RCB’s 2-wicket victory against the Mumbai Indians on May 10 at Raipur.

His four-wicket haul and a crucial six in the final over sealed a win for the side in Sunday’s clash. By this win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru moved to the top of the IPL 2026 points table.

After being invited to bat first, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the wicket of Ryan Rickelton for 2 runs. He got dismissed on catch by Rajat Patidar in mid off. The RCB bowler bagged his second wicket, dismissing Rohit Sharma for 22 runs.

He got dismissed on a lengthy ball where Jitesh Sharma picked the catch behind the wickets. In the same over, he bagged the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav for a duck as the Mumbai Indians lost three wickets for 28 runs.

Chasing 167 runs, Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack.

Chahar bagged the first wicket of Virat Kohli for duck. He got dismissed on a catch took by Raj Bawa in the mid off.

He bagged his second wicket of Devdutt Padikkal for 12 runs. He got dismissed on a outside off delivery as the ball got thick edge with Ryan Rickelton taking the catch behind the wicket.

With Corbin Bosch bagging the wicket of Rajat Patidar for 8 runs, He got dismissed after Rickelton took the catch behind the wickets.

With Jacob Bethell and Krunal Pandya at crease, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 47 runs in the powerplay.

The duo forged a 55-run partnership before Corbin Bosch bagged the wicket of Jacob Bethell for 27 runs.

However, Krunal Pandya was the only scorer holding RCB’s innings in the game. His knock guided the side to cross 100 run mark. He cross 32-ball fifty reviving the side from the early collapse.

Corbin Bosch brought his third and fourth wicket by dismissing Jitesh Sharma and Tim David in a single over for 18 and 0.

On the other hand, Krunal Pandya made an impressive 73 runs knock despite his injury concern before his dismissal by AM Ghazanfar.

In the dramatic final over, Raj Bawa picked the crucial wicket of Romario Shepherd for 4 runs as RCB needed 10 runs in 3 deliveries.

With Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam at crease, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a thrilling 2-wicket victory at Raipur.

Corbin Bosch picked four wickets while Deepak Chahar picked two wickets. AM Ghazanfar and Raj Bawa bagged one wicket each.
