But when this car reached Bali Toll Plaza, the shooters there paid the toll tax through UPI instead of paying in cash. As soon as the digital transaction was done, the mobile number of the criminals came on the police radar. The high definition cameras installed at the toll plaza also cleared the faces inside the car, which helped the police a lot in identifying the accused.

Fake number plate and clone car conspiracy

During the investigation, it came to light that the criminals had hatched a deep conspiracy to deceive the police. The car used by the shooters had the number plate of a vehicle from Siliguri written on it. During interrogation and technical investigation, it was revealed that the criminals had cloned the number plate of the old car by looking at its photo from an online sales portal. The criminals believed that the police would reach the real owner only on the basis of the vehicle number and they would get away with it. However, with the help of technical footprints and CCTV footage, the police foiled this vicious ploy of the criminals and exposed the entire network.

Crime horoscope of Raj Singh of Ballia

The arrested main accused Raj Singh alias Chandan is a resident of Anand Nagar in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. He described himself as a social worker and is also the general secretary of Kshatriya Mahasabha. But his past has been full of crime. Raj Singh is also accused of murder of an egg businessman in the year 2020 and he was out on bail in that case. There are photos on his social media accounts with many big political faces, through which he used to show his influence. Police had received information that he had gone to Lucknow to attend the wedding of the daughter of a leader of Ballia. During his return, the police laid a trap and caught him near Ayodhya.

Network of shooters of Bihar and Purvanchal

On the basis of technical evidence, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the police has also detained Mayank Raj Mishra and Vicky Maurya from Buxar, Bihar in this case. Police believe that professional shooters from Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh were called by paying huge amount to carry out this murder. The criminals committed the crime after doing recce. At present, the police has taken all the arrested accused on transit remand to Kolkata. There he will be rigorously interrogated about the real mastermind behind this murder and the main reason behind the murder. The police is also trying to find out whether the strings of this conspiracy are connected to any major political dispute.
