Big shock to Jacqueline Fernandes in Sukesh Chandrashekhar case! ED expressed objection to the demand to become a government witness

Tezzbuzz Desk – Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandes is once again in the headlines for a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore. This case is related to swindler Sukesh Chandrashekhar, in which investigation has been going on for a long time and now a new twist has emerged in it.

In the latest development, Jacqueline Fernandes has expressed her desire to become an approver in this case. It is noteworthy that earlier this option was given to her by the investigating agencies, but at that time the actress had rejected it. Now his new stand has brought the matter into discussion again.

However, this demand has been strongly opposed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The agency says that Jacqueline’s attitude was not cooperative during the investigation and she hid many important information. According to ED, he did not reveal the entire truth in his statements recorded under Section 50 of PMLA.

The agency has also claimed that Jacqueline was aware of Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s criminal background, yet she maintained contact with him. In such a situation, ED believes that it would not be appropriate to allow him to become a government witness.

In this case, Patiala House Court has fixed the next hearing for May 12 and has given time to Jacqueline’s lawyer to present his arguments on the ED’s reply. Now all eyes are on what decision the court takes on this issue.

Talking about the work front, Jacqueline Fernandes was seen in films like ‘Fatah’, ‘Raid 2’ and ‘Housefull 5’ in 2025. Of these, ‘Raid 2’ and ‘Housefull 5’ performed well at the box office, while ‘Fatah’ failed to live up to expectations.
