In Assam, five MLAs including Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as ministers.
Guwahati . In Assam, a total of five people including Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will take the oath of office and secrecy today. Outgoing Chief Minister Himanta himself gave this information on Twitter. Dr. Sarma said that these four of his colleagues will take oath as ministers along with him in the dignified presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These include Rameshwar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Bodo and Ajanta Neog. Among them, two are BJP, one AGP and one BPF MLA.
He said that Ranjit Das will be the candidate for the post of Assembly Speaker. He has wished everyone good luck. “Together, we will continue to work diligently for a stronger, developed and prosperous Assam,” he said. It is noteworthy that preparations for the swearing-in have been done on a large scale. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Naveen, Chief Ministers of 22 states, several Union Ministers, national leaders of BJP and NDA as well as a large number of big industrialists are attending the ceremony.
Almost everyone including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have reached Guwahati by Monday night. Along with these big leaders, booth presidents of BJP and NDA and elected presidents of Panchayat in Assam have also been invited. In view of the arrival of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, heavy deployment of security forces has been done in the entire Khanapada area. Many routes have been changed due to the program. In view of the arrival of VIP, cleaning of roads and painting of footpaths has been done on a large scale from Kamakhya to Khanapada and from Barjhar Airport to the venue of the event.
Dr. Sarma will take the oath of chief ministership and secrecy in a grand ceremony organized at Khanapada Veterinary College Ground at 11 am today. Grand pandals have been constructed at the venue. Extensive security arrangements have been made.
