OpenAI’s ChatGPT Update: Tech company OpenAI has rolled out a new personal finance feature for AI chatbot ChatGPT. How this feature will work and how it will benefit the users is the question in the minds of many. According to the information received, due to this new feature, users will now be able to connect their accounts, credit cards and investment accounts directly to ChatGPT. After this, with the help of a new feature, ChatGPT will help to understand the calculation of money. Currently, this new feature is only available for Pro users in the US. Who spends 200 dollars per month. After this, this feature will be rolled out for Plus users. The company says that this feature can be rolled out for all users in the near future.

How does the new feature work?
When you connect your accounts with ChatGPT using this new feature, then ChatGPT shows you a dashboard. It gives you a detailed account of where your money is being spent, such as expenses, investments, active subscriptions and upcoming payments, all in one place. Ask the questions on your mind
Under this feature you can also ask chatgpt some questions, which will help you to plan your expenses and save. You can ask ChatGPT questions like, am I spending too much, can I buy a house in 5 years, what other subscriptions am I paying, etc. These chats run on GPT-5.5 Thinking by default, which is OpenAI’s new reasoning model. Pro users will also get GPT-5.5 Pro. OpenAI says it can better handle more difficult money-related questions. To activate this feature, open Finances from the sidebar or simply type “@Finances, connect my accounts” in any chat.

The new feature may not work
ChatGPT can read your balance, transactions, investments and liabilities. This feature cannot transfer money and also cannot see your full account number. If you change your mind, you can disconnect any account from this feature. The synced data is claimed to be completely deleted within 30 days. You can also delete ‘Financial Memories’. The feature has been rolled out a month after OpenAI acquired personal finance startup ‘Hiro’.
