Mobile took away love! Now screens are getting more time than relationships, population is decreasing in the world

New Delhi: Till now, financial constraints, career pressure, expensive lifestyle and small houses were considered responsible for the falling birth rate across the world. But recent scientific research and reports have revealed a shocking angle which has created a sensation all over the world.

Why are fewer children being born?

Experts and researchers believe that ‘smartphones’ and ‘social media’ have now become a major reason behind the decline in population globally. This technology, which is in our hands 24 hours a day, has changed human relationships and social fabric to such an extent that people are now producing fewer children than before.

Alarm bells in two-thirds of the countries

According to a shocking report by the Financial Times, at present the birth rate in more than two-thirds of the countries in the world has fallen far below the basic level which is considered necessary to keep the population of a country stable. In simple words, not enough children are being born in these countries to replace the older generation. This problem is initially limited to Japan, South Korea, China and America.

Smartphones have increased the distance

The sudden and rapid decline in the global birth rate over the last 10 to 15 years cannot be explained solely by economic or financial reasons. Since the advent of smartphones and high-speed internet, the interaction between youth has reduced drastically. People are now spending more time on screens rather than building relationships in the real world. This digital addiction has promoted loneliness in the society, which is having a direct and negative impact on decisions about marriage and raising a family.

What was found in the study

A very interesting study was conducted on this topic in America and Britain, in which the data after the launch of 4G internet network there was analyzed. This study revealed a surprising fact that the most rapid decline in birth rate was recorded in the same geographical areas where high-speed mobile internet reached first.
