Tata Tiago ICE & Tiago EV Facelift: Tata Motors has finally unveiled the production-ready looks of two of its most popular and affordable hatchbacks, the New Tata Tiago Facelift and Tiago EV Facelift, creating a major stir among rival companies.

The company has officially confirmed that these two rugged and sleek vehicles will be launched simultaneously in the Indian market on May 28, 2026, a successful and magical signal for a strong journey ahead that will ensure a successful and strong road presence for your luxurious lifestyle.

Design and Look

Tata Tiago Ice

Tata Motors has completely refreshed the exterior design of the Tiago series, giving it a fresh and aggressive look that will magically enhance your aristocratic status on the roads and successfully garner the trust of elite customers. Both hatchbacks now feature sharp headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs that capture the attention of every passerby at first glance.

The regular Tiago, available in petrol and CNG variants, features a wide, sleek black-out grille, similar to the Altroz, along with pixel-shaped fog lamps in the bumper, giving it a very sporty look. The forward-thinking Tiago EV, on the other hand, features a closed, body-coloured blanked-off grille that perfectly accentuates its electric character.

The side profile features new 15-inch geometric alloy wheels and strong black wheel arches, similar to the Tiago NRG. At the rear, the connected LED taillights with vertical strips ensure a strong road presence, and this powerful performance makes every journey a magical one.

Interior and Features

Tata has fully equipped the cabins of both these budget cars with modern gadgets that have successfully earned the trust of high-end customers. According to the reveal video, camera pods placed in the front bumper and below both ORVMs confirm that both the Tiago and Tiago EV will be equipped with sophisticated and high-tech features like a 360-degree parking camera.

Inside, the cabin already boasts a stunning 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new two-spoke steering wheel (with an illuminated logo). However, this time, the company has replaced the old instrument cluster with a Punch-like new 7-inch TFT digital driver display, ensuring a truly unwavering road presence.

Furthermore, breakthrough features like auto headlamps, cruise control, auto climate control, and a cooled glovebox transform every rugged journey into a truly memorable one, providing premium customers with a truly powerful performance experience.

Safety

In terms of safety, Tata Motors has, as always, elevated its 4-star Global NCAP Legacy to a whole new level, providing a robust road safety shield for your premium family. With this facelift, Tata is ditching the old two-airbag policy and making six airbags standard, ensuring the complete safety of your valuable investment.

Additionally, robust features like ABS, EBD, Corner Brake Control, Electronic Stability Program, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and ISOFIX child seat mounts provide drivers with magical and robust confidence, even during high-speed driving. This investment ensures a magical security boost to every strenuous step, ensuring a successful and robust road presence and elevating your status to magical heights.

Engine and Battery

To provide a strong competition to Maruti and Hyundai in terms of engine and battery, Tata has refined and perfected both of its technologies, ensuring complete preparation for every strenuous journey ahead. The combustion variant will continue to feature Tata’s reliable 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.

Additionally, an affordable i-CNG variant will also be available, delivering a robust mileage of over 26 km/kg on-road, providing a solid cushion for your monthly budget during a petrol crisis. The Tiago EV, on the other hand, could be offered with a larger battery pack, similar to the Punch EV, which would magically increase its range to 320+ kilometers.

The company could also introduce a BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) scheme, making its starting price even more attractive and turning your luxury dreams into a reality.
