IRCTC’s amazing tour package, 8 days spiritual journey from Arunachalam to Rameshwaram, know complete details of expenses and facilities
IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has launched a special religious tour package named ‘Divine Dakshin Yatra with Arunachalam-Chidambaram’. This journey will be operated by ‘Bharat Gaurav Pravasi Train’. This tour package is of 8 days duration. This itinerary includes visits to famous religious places in South India, including Arunachalam, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur and Chidambaram.
The journey begins after reaching Tiruvannamalai Railway Station, where arrangements for lodging, bathing and other facilities will be made for the passengers. After this, a visit to the famous Arunachalam temple dedicated to Lord Shiva will be organized. In the evening, the passengers will be taken back to the railway station, from where the train will leave for Rameshwaram. After reaching Rameshwaram, passengers will be taken to their hotels by road. After some rest and breakfast, visit Ramanathaswamy Temple and other famous temples nearby. Arrangements for dinner and overnight stay will be made at this place.
The next day in the afternoon, the group will depart for Madurai by bus. After reaching Madurai, passengers will be given time to visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple and do some shopping. In the evening, the passengers will be transported to the railway station, from where the train will depart for Kanyakumari. After reaching Kanyakumari, accommodation facilities will be provided to the passengers. After this, a visit to famous places like Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam and Sunset Point will be organised. After sightseeing, passengers will be dropped at the railway station to begin their onward journey to Tiruchirappalli.
After reaching Tiruchirappalli, rest and relaxation arrangements will be made for the passengers. After this, the famous Srirangam temple will be visited. In the afternoon, the group will travel by road to Thanjavur to visit the world-famous Brihadeshwara Temple. Night stay will be in Tiruchirappalli only. Next morning, the passengers will be transported to the railway station, from where the train will leave for Chidambaram. After reaching Chidambaram, travelers will have the opportunity to visit the Nataraja Temple. After darshan, return journey to Secunderabad will begin after reaching the railway station on time.
The commencement date of the journey has been fixed for May 24, 2026. Talking about the fare, the per person fare has been fixed at ₹ 14,500 for Economy (SL) class, ₹ 21,700 for Standard 3AC and ₹ 27,900 for Comfort 2AC.
