Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: Petrol and diesel prices increased for the fourth time in 10 days, know what are their rates now?

New Delhi. The fire in crude oil prices caused by the Iran crisis has not yet been extinguished. As a result, petrol and diesel have become expensive once again. The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased for the fourth time in 10 days. This time the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2.61 and the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 2.71 per liter. Due to this, there is a possibility of inflation increasing.

After the latest increase in the price, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 102.12 per litre. Whereas, the price of diesel has reached Rs 95.20 per liter. One liter petrol is now being sold for Rs 113.51 in Kolkata. Here the price of every liter of diesel has increased to Rs 99.82. The latest price of petrol in Mumbai has become Rs 111.21 and diesel Rs 97.83 per liter. At the same time, the rate of petrol in Chennai has become Rs 107.77 and that of diesel Rs 99.55. First of all, petroleum companies had increased petrol and diesel by Rs 3 each. After which the money was increased. After the latest increase in the price, the rate of petrol has crossed Rs 100.

Actually, tension remains between Iran and America after the end of the war. This has disrupted the supply of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz. Indian petroleum companies have to buy crude oil from far-flung countries. On one hand, the price of crude oil is beyond 100 dollars per barrel, on the other hand, more is being spent on transportation to bring it. When the price of petrol and diesel was not increased, petroleum companies were incurring a loss of Rs 1000 crore every day. At the same time, after increasing the price for the third time recently, the loss of petroleum companies was reduced to Rs 750 crore per day. It is believed that to bridge this deficit, the rates of petrol and diesel can be increased further.
