Maoists’ secret gun factory found in the forest
Gadchiroli police and security forces, on the information of surrendered Maoists, exposed a secret weapons factory hidden in the forest. In the operation, weapons and machines buried under the ground were recovered.
Raipur: Security forces have achieved great success in the Naxal-affected areas bordering Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Gadchiroli Police, based on intelligence received from surrendered Maoists, has busted a secret weapons manufacturing factory operating in the forest. During the operation, machines, weapons and other war material hidden in the ground were recovered.
Input received from surrendered Maoists
According to security agencies, this action was possible after interrogating the Maoists who had recently surrendered. Many Naxalites had surrendered during ‘Operation Final Strike’ conducted on 16 May 2026.
During interrogation, he revealed that a secret weapons manufacturing center of Maoists was active in the dense forests of Binagunda area, where weapons and explosive materials were kept hidden under the ground.
Machines were kept buried under the ground
After receiving the input, Gadchiroli police and security forces launched a joint operation. During the search, many machines kept hidden under the ground in the forest and materials used in making weapons were recovered.
Officials say that this base was strategically important for the Maoists and preparations were made to attack security forces from here.
Security forces got major strategic success
According to the police administration, this action has helped in averting possible major attacks. After seizing the recovered material, many devices were destroyed on the spot.
Security agencies are now also gathering information about other targets and active Maoist cadres connected to this network.
