Petrol price in Delhi increased by Rs 2.61 per liter to Rs 102.12 per liter

New Delhi. The prices of petrol and diesel were increased once again on Monday. The price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2.61 per liter while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 2.71 per liter. This is the fourth time in less than two weeks that prices have been increased for the fourth time as government oil companies pass on the burden of international price hike to consumers.

Revision of fuel prices started again from May 15. Since then, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by a total of about Rs 7.5 per liter. The price of petrol in Delhi has been increased by Rs 2.61 per liter to Rs 102.12 per liter, which was earlier Rs 99.51 per liter. Diesel prices have been increased by Rs 2.71 to Rs 95.20 per liter, which was earlier Rs 92.49 per liter.

This increase has been made amid high global crude oil prices and weakness in the rupee. Rising global crude oil prices and weakening rupee have put pressure on import costs of oil marketing companies.
