Maruti Suzuki Vision 3.0 Plan Revealed – 4 Powerful SUVs Coming In 2026-27 – Breaking News & Live Updates Today

To further strengthen its dominance in the Indian car market, the country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, is gearing up. Under its ambitious ‘Vision 3.0’ market plan, the company is set to take its car portfolio to new heights.

The main objectives of this strategy are to double its production capacity, triple its exports, and increase its model range from 19 to 29 by the financial year 2030-31. Under this master plan, Maruti Suzuki is placing its biggest bet on the SUV segment.

The company is launching four new large SUVs in the market during 2026-27, which are poised to disrupt their segment. Let’s learn the full details of these upcoming vehicles.

The Maruti Brezza, one of India’s most popular subcompact SUVs, is soon receiving its biggest update ever. The biggest change in the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is its new heart. The company may replace the old naturally aspirated engine with a powerful 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine sourced from the Fronx.

This powerful engine will give the car an even more fun and sporty driving experience. This turbo engine could be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Leaked test images reveal that the car’s cabin will feature a new, larger infotainment system, all-new upholstery, premium interior trims, and several new features that will double its usability.

Maruti Suzuki’s most stylish compact crossover, the Fronx, is set to receive a major mid-life update in early 2027. The biggest USP of this update will be its all-new strong hybrid powertrain. This car will be the first model in the country to feature Maruti Suzuki’s in-house “Series Hybrid Technology.”

With this hybrid technology, the car’s 1.2-liter Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine will act solely as a generator, charging the battery pack, while the car will be powered solely by the electric motor. This will provide the car with a quiet and smooth ride, akin to an electric vehicle. According to leaked reports, this hybrid setup can deliver record-breaking mileage of 30 to 35 km/l.

For further safety enhancements, radar-based Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) sensors have also been spotted on test mules. Additionally, some cosmetic changes will be made to the car’s front bumper, headlights, and grille.

The Maruti Grand Vitara, a fierce competitor to the Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment, is set to receive a major facelift update in the second half of 2026. At this crucial stage in its lifecycle, the SUV will be given a bolder and more modern look.

The new Grand Vitara facelift will feature a redesigned grille, a bumper with new cuts, and attractive alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin will feature a host of premium features and advanced connectivity options.

However, the mechanics will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to be sold with its existing and highly successful 1.5-liter petrol mild hybrid and Toyota-sourced strong hybrid engine options.

For those looking for a larger, more spacious car with Maruti’s reliability, the company is working on an all-new premium three-row (7-seater) SUV based on the Grand Vitara’s platform. This upcoming vehicle will share its platform, engine options, features, and several key components with its 5-seater counterpart.

This car is being designed specifically for larger families. To create sufficient space for the third row (the last row of seats), this SUV will be longer than the regular Grand Vitara. It will compete directly with larger vehicles like the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
