  • 2 cups thick poha
  • 1 finely chopped onion

How to make Indori style poha

First of all, wash the poha thoroughly and keep it in a strainer for 10 to 15 minutes so that the excess water gets removed. After this, add turmeric to the poha and mix it gently.

Now lightly fry fennel, cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon and other spices in a pan. Grind them and prepare Jeeravan masala.

On the other hand, heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and asafoetida and temper it. Now add poha to it and mix well.

After this, cook the poha in light steam so that its taste increases even more.

Take out the prepared poha in a plate and garnish with jeerawan masala, sev, onion, peanuts, pomegranate seeds, green coriander and lemon and serve. If you want, you can also serve hot jalebi with it.
