CBI arrest: CBI arrested retired judge Giribala Singh in Twisha case.

Bhopal. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Twisha’s mother-in-law and retired judge Giribala Singh in the much talked about Twisha Sharma death case of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to official sources, the CBI team reached the residence of Giribala Singh at around 10.30 in the morning and interrogated him for about seven hours. After interrogation, he was arrested at around 5 pm. After his arrest, the CBI team took him for medical examination to the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MENIT) campus, where the agency has set up a temporary camp office.

According to sources, Giribala Singh will be produced in the court on Friday and his remand will be sought. CBI has also informed Judge Manoj Kumar Srivastava about the arrest. He has been accused of tampering with evidence. Earlier on Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Giribala Singh. The court had said in a 17-page order that considering the seriousness of the case, the available evidence and the current status of the investigation, it is not appropriate to grant relief. CBI has also conducted technical examination of the incident site during the investigation. The agency got the entire complex recorded with high-powered three-dimensional cameras and also examined the surrounding area to assess the visual situation of the incident site. It is noteworthy that Twisha Sharma died under suspicious circumstances in Katara Hills area of ​​Bhopal on the night of 12th May. The maternal side has accused the husband and in-laws of murder, while the in-laws are calling it suicide. Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh is already on CBI remand in the case.
