Politics News- Trump may soon take the blockade of Hormuz, final decision on Iran

Friends, the ongoing war between Iran and America has shaken the whole world, but recently US President Donald Trump’s statement shocked people. On Friday (May 29, 2026), Trump announced that the United States is ready to lift the US Navy blockade on this strategically important waterway—but only if Iran promises to never make nuclear weapons in the future.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes, and any blockage there would have a profound impact on global oil supplies and international trade. Trump urged Iran to take a final decision on this matter as soon as possible.

Trump’s statement on ‘Truth Social’

President Donald Trump shared a detailed post on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’, outlining the conditions for lifting the blockade.

According to Trump:

Iran must officially admit that it will never make nuclear weapons or a nuclear bomb.

The Strait of Hormuz should be immediately reopened for unhindered movement of ships in both directions.

No tolls or additional restrictions should be imposed on international ships using this route.

Trump further said that the US Navy has already removed several naval mines from the area using advanced underwater mine-sweeping technology.

America demanded removal of remaining landmines

In his statement, Trump claimed:

Several naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz have already been detected and destroyed by US forces.

Iran should immediately remove or destroy any remaining landmines still in the region.

According to Trump, only a very small number of landmines are now believed to remain.

Stranded ships can now start returning

President Trump also announced that ships stranded due to the blockade can now begin preparing for their return journey.

In a personal message to sailors and crew members affected by the situation, Trump said:

“Thanks to our unprecedented naval blockade—which is now being lifted—ships currently stranded in the Strait of Hormuz can now begin preparations to return home.”

He also added a message to their families, saying:

“Please convey my greetings to your wives, husbands, parents and families. On behalf of your favorite President!”
