Newly married brothers died due to bus collision, villagers expressed anger by blocking roads
Satna. A painful road accident that took place in Kolgawan police station area of Satna district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning took away the happiness of two families in a moment.
Just 18 days ago, two brothers who were married to two sisters died after being hit by a bus. After the accident, there was mourning in the village and family, while the angry villagers protested by blocking the road.
According to the information, Chakdahi resident Vivek Yadav (25) and his younger brother Vinay Yadav (24) were coming to Satna by bike on Saturday morning. At around 10 am in the morning, near Utaili turn on Satna-Maihar bypass, Abhay Travels’ bus going towards Maihar hit his bike hard.
The accident was so horrific that Vivek died on the spot, while seriously injured Vinay died on the way to Rewa.
The wedding took place on 12th May, the wedding procession took place together.
Vivek and Vinay were married on May 12 to two real sisters of Uchehra area. The marriage procession of both the brothers had started from the same house and there was an atmosphere of happiness in the family.
But this accident, which happened just 18 days after the marriage, left both the families in deep shock. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the house and in-laws of the deceased. The family members were in bad condition, crying outside the mortuary of the district hospital.
Blockade by keeping dead body, pelting stones on buses
After the post-mortem, family members and villagers reached Satna bus stand with the dead bodies of both the youths, placed the bodies on the road and blocked the Satna-Rewa road. During this period, traffic was affected for some time.
During the demonstration, some people in the crowd pelted stones at the buses and vandalized them. Seeing the situation worsening, the police immediately took charge and controlled the situation. Some people who pelted stones were also detained.
The matter calmed down after the officers’ advice.
As soon as information about the incident was received, SDM City Rahul Siladia, CSP Devendra Pratap Singh and all three police station in-charges of the city and heavy police force reached the spot and took charge of the situation.
The officials discussed with the family members and villagers and explained it to them. After prolonged talks the protest ended and traffic was restored.
Driver absconds, bus seized
After the accident, the bus driver left the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police have seized the accident bus and started searching for the absconding driver.
Police say that the cause of the accident is being investigated and further legal action will be taken based on the investigation. This painful accident has once again raised serious questions on road safety and carelessness of speeding vehicles.
