Siwan: Accident due to negligence of electricity department, woman died, mourning spread in the village.

Siwan. In a tragic accident on Tuesday morning in Sondhani Govasi Tola of Bhagwanpur Haat police station area of ​​Bihar district, a 35-year-old woman died due to electric shock, while a young man who went to save her was seriously injured. After the incident, there was mourning in the entire village and the family members were crying and in bad condition.

The deceased has been identified as Gayatri Devi (35), wife of village resident Santosh Kumar. The injured youth has been identified as Rajesh Kumar (22), son of Kamli Rai, who is undergoing treatment at Bhagwanpur Community Health Centre.

According to the information received, Gayatri Devi was in her house. Meanwhile, suddenly electricity flowed in the iron staircase in the house. As soon as she came in contact with the ladder, she got electrocuted and suffered severe burns. While trying to save them, Rajesh Kumar also got injured due to electric shock.

After the incident, family members and local people immediately took both of them to Bhagwanpur Community Health Center for treatment, where doctors declared Gayatri Devi dead after examination. The treatment of the injured youth is continuing.

Villagers and family members have accused the electricity department of negligence regarding the incident. He says that the 220 volt electric wire was hanging very low near the deceased’s house, due to which there was always a possibility of an accident.

According to the villagers, despite complaining several times, the department did not take any concrete steps towards solving the problem.

Villagers told that after the accident, people themselves removed the wire and secured it with the help of rope. People allege that if the electricity department had taken action in time, this accident could have been avoided.

Gayatri Devi has left behind three small children. These include 10-year-old daughter Ekta Kumari, six-year-old son Ankush Kumar and another two-year-old son. The children are in a bad condition, crying due to the untimely death of their mother. The deceased’s husband supports the family by working as a laborer in Delhi.

After the incident, a wave of mourning ran in the entire village. Hearing the screams of the family members and the crying sounds of the innocent children, the eyes of the people present at the spot also became moist. The villagers have demanded proper compensation to the deceased family and action against the responsible officials.
