Annamalai has resigned from the party. According to sources, he has submitted his detailed five-page resignation letter to the top party leadership in Delhi. After this step, speculations have intensified that he will soon launch a new regional political party.

According to reports, on Tuesday K. Annamalai met the national leadership of BJP in New Delhi. During this, he met the party’s national president and organization general secretary B.L. Submitted his resignation to Santosh. It is being told that this resignation is the result of long-running disagreements regarding the party’s strategy and recent political decisions in Tamil Nadu.

Although no official statement has been issued by BJP on this resignation, but party insiders have admitted that there were differences between Annamalai and the top leadership for the last few months.

Annamalai preparing to form a new party

According to sources, K. Annamalai is now preparing to form a new regional political party. This proposed party will be based on “Tamil-first” and “secular” ideology. It is believed that this organization will try to emerge as an alternative force in the current political system of Tamil Nadu.

According to the information, the new party can be launched within the next 6 to 8 months. It will aim to offer a new political alternative to the long-dominant Dravidian parties in the state—the DMK and AIADMK—as well as the BJP.

Sources close to Annamalai say that he wants to create a political structure that focuses on national development issues while strengthening Tamil identity. He believes that there is a need for a new approach in Tamil Nadu politics, which is not limited to traditional alliances but is based on policy issues.

The possible focus of the new party is said to be regional development, youth employment, education, industrial investment and administrative reforms. According to sources, differences between Annamalai and BJP leadership had deepened on many issues. The most prominent among these was the alliance strategy in the state.
