Mathura’s IIT Baba’s horoscope revealed, he used to rape girls in the name of salvation by wearing saint’s robes
Abhishek Mishra…the name of an engineer, but the allegations are such that it shook the whole of Mathura. This young man, who calls himself ‘Adikarta Narayan Das’, is now behind bars on charges of sexual exploitation of women, blackmailing and spreading fake spiritual networks.
For some time, this young man had been making his mark among the educated youth, especially the girls, by giving online sermons, talking about Geeta knowledge and salvation in Govardhan and Radhakund areas of Mathura. Police investigation has revealed that Abhishek would influence people through social media and then call them to Mathura with the dream of “spiritual initiation” and “life change”.
Studied from IIT, then why did you choose Babagiri?
During police interrogation, Abhishek Mishra told that he had studied mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. After completing his studies, he had also worked in a private company with an annual package of about Rs 20 lakh. But after a few years he left the job and reached Mathura. Abhishek, who initially lived in a rented house, later bought a house in Radhakund and started running his own ashram-like place.
How did he make people his victims?
According to the investigating agencies, Abhishek Mishra used to upload religious and spiritual videos on YouTube and other social media platforms. He especially targeted educated girls, engineers and women working in big companies. It is alleged that he used to brainwash people through talks like ‘moksha’, ‘spiritual energy’ and ‘life improvement’. After this, he used to call him to Mathura and take him under his influence.
Intoxicated milk in the name of ‘Prasad’, then rape allegation
The entire matter came to light when a 22-year-old B.Sc Nursing student from Chhattisgarh lodged a complaint at Govardhan police station. The victim alleged that Abhishek made her drink milk by calling it ‘Prasad’, which was allegedly laced with intoxicants. According to the girl, she became unconscious after drinking milk and during this time the accused raped her. It was also said in the complaint that the accused recorded her objectionable photographs and videos.
Extortion by threatening to make the video viral?
The victim alleged that later Abhishek Mishra started blackmailing her. He allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakh and threatened to make the video viral if the money was not paid. The police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and arrested the accused.
What did you get from the ashram?
During the investigation, the police also recovered two girls and a young man from the hideout of the accused. According to officials, these people have been handed over to their families. The police have also found more than a dozen objectionable pictures and videos of several men and women from the mobile phone of the accused. Investigative agencies suspect that the number of victims may be even higher.
‘Moksha Gang’ or spiritual trap?
According to the local people, Abhishek described himself as a very learned and modern thinking Baba. Many youth were easily influenced by the tag of IIT and spiritual talks in English. The police are now also investigating whether the accused was part of a bigger network or was running this entire alleged racket alone.
What are the police saying?
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat said that the accused has been sent to jail. A detailed investigation is underway into his social media networks, contacts and the identity of possible other victims. The police are also trying to find out whether the accused had been trapping people in this manner for a long time.
