Mafia will end like mosquitoes, Fazilnagar will become Pavagadh: Yogi!

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the renaming of Fazilnagar to Pavagadh during an event organized in Kushinagar. On this occasion, he mentioned the historical and religious heritage of the region and said that the new identity will honor the history associated with Lord Mahavir.
Accusing the previous governments of giving protection to mafias, the Chief Minister also enumerated the achievements of his government regarding law and order, development and public welfare schemes in the state.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi said that we have proposed to change the name of Kushinagar to Fazilnagar. Now it will not be known as Fazilnagar, but as Pavagadh. This area will be identified with Lord Mahavir, then why call it Fazil? It is the responsibility of every person to be proud of his heritage.

Chief Minister Yogi said that earlier there was only exploitation everywhere, mafias had protection. Diseases were spreading, but there was no system. There was violence on every occasion and festival. Today, the effect of the double engine government is that 90 thousand people have got housing in Kushinagar alone and toilets have been built in the houses of lakhs of people. The government is providing facilities like treatment, toilet, ration for free.

He said that the disease of encephalitis has been eliminated in the same way as mafia has been eliminated from Uttar Pradesh. We have eliminated the mafia and mosquitoes. Mosquitoes spread diseases and the mafia increased unemployment among the people.

Chief Minister Yogi said that if you elect good MLAs and MPs, they do good work. They work for development, employment, security, disease control and controlling mafia and goons. They also work to provide water to the farmers’ fields and provide them good prices for their produce.

He said that about 498 years ago, a foreign invader had demolished the holy place at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya and tried to defile this sacred land.

This struggle continued for centuries, decades and generations and the emotions of the entire nation remained deeply attached to this issue. But, the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya gained momentum only when the ‘double engine’ BJP government was formed.
