Big relief for Ranveer Singh, FWICE removed the decision of non-cooperation

Mumbai: Federation of Western India Cine Employees has officially withdrawn the non-cooperation directive issued against actor Ranveer Singh. This is considered to be a big change in the controversy that started after Ranveer’s exit from ‘Don 3’.

Decision taken after talks

Let us tell you that in the press release issued on June 3, FWICE said that this step has been taken after several rounds of talks. After the intervention of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association, the federation took the initiative to resolve the matter. FWICE says that unity and coordination is necessary in the industry. Therefore this dispute should now be ended by mutual consent.

The Federation made it clear that the instructions are being removed with immediate effect. The organization believes that differences within the industry should not be resolved through long fights, but through dialogue and understanding. The statement said, "FWICE has withdrawn its stand of non-cooperation against Ranveer Singh."

Appeal for cooperation from actors

FWICE said that discussions are still going on with different producer bodies. An appeal was also made to Ranveer Singh to be a part of the solution process. The federation said, "We make a humble request to Ranveer Singh to help resolve this issue."

This decision has come a day after Ranveer sent a legal notice to FWICE. In the notice, Ranveer had demanded removal of the instructions of non-cooperation. FWICE Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit told the media that he has received the notice. Pandit said, "Only yesterday we received the legal notice. We will respond to this in a legal manner."

"No right to ban, sit and find a solution"

Ashok Pandit further said, "We appeal to Ranveer to come, sit with us and find a way out. We respect his stardom. We do not have the right to ban anyone. We hope that a positive response will come from Ranveer."

FWICE also reiterated that it will respond to the legal notice as per the rules. The federation thanked IMPPA which helped resolve the matter. FWICE said that the film industry progresses only through mutual respect, cooperation and solidarity.

This whole controversy started after Ranveer Singh’s withdrawal from Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Don 3’. Only after this FWICE had issued instructions for non-cooperation against the actor. There was a debate going on in the industry for the last few weeks on this issue. Many big stars and people associated with the film had expressed their opinion.
