What do we see in the Lucky trailer?

The trailer starts by revealing that Lucky Armstrong has been trained in the ways of criminal life by her father, played by Timothy Olyphant. Following a thrilling encounter in a burning car, the focus shifts to Lucky being chased by law enforcement led by her mother-in-law (Annette Bening).

The novel’s synopsis gives fans a clue into where Lucky’s journey will take her. It reads, “As Lucky tries to avoid capture and make a future for herself, she must confront her past by reconciling with her father; finding her mother, who abandoned her when she was just a baby; and coming to terms with the man she thought she loved–whose dark past is catching up with her, too.”

Apple TV has compared Lucky to The Flight Attendant, Dead to Me, Russian Doll, Killing Eve, Inventing Anna, Black Doves, and Lioness. Anya Taylor-Joy is no stranger to Apple TV projects, previously leading its hit movie The Gorge.
