Government gave bad name to the state instead of development: Akhilesh Yadav!

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav accused the government of corruption, poor infrastructure and damage to the education system and said that instead of development, there is an atmosphere of chaos and scams in Uttar Pradesh.

He claimed that issues like roads, education, employment and investment will become major topics in the 2027 assembly elections and the public will demand answers from the government on these questions. Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday that the government has given defamation to the state instead of development. He alleged that corruption and loot are rampant in various departments of the government, which is also affecting the image of the state.

Referring to Agra, he said that tourists coming from all over the world are impressed by seeing the historical heritage, but the condition of poor roads and basic facilities raises questions on the arrangements of the state.

The SP chief said that the impact of economic slowdown is visible on sectors like tourism, hotels, guides, taxis, tour operators, handicrafts, petha and shoe industries. He claimed that poor infrastructure and administrative systems were also affecting the investment climate.

Akhilesh Yadav also raised the issue of education prominently. He said that if there has been any irregularity at the construction or administrative level related to any educational institution, then the accountability of the concerned officers and departments should also be fixed. Simply taking action against teachers or institutions is not the solution to the problem.

He alleged that the government was ignoring the interests of education, teachers and students. Referring to issues like irregularities in government schools, recruitment examinations, paper leaks, evaluation process and competitive examinations, he said that questions related to the education system will be at the center of the upcoming election debate.

The SP President claimed that there is a wide public discussion in the state on issues related to education, employment, infrastructure and corruption and in the coming time, the public will take political decisions on the basis of these issues.
