Weather of June 4: 3 days of relief rain in Delhi-NCR, chances of thunderstorm and hailstorm in many states

New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted major weather changes in many parts of the country on June 4, 2026. According to the department, the conditions for the south-west monsoon to reach Kerala have become completely favorable and with this, rain, storm and hailstorm activities may intensify in many states of North, Central and South India. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for many areas and advised people to remain alert.

Chance of rain with strong winds in Uttarakhand

According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In some areas the wind speed can reach 90 kilometers per hour. Due to these seasonal activities, the temperature is expected to drop and people will get relief from the heat.

The weather may also change in the national capital Delhi and surrounding NCR region. The Meteorological Department estimates that between June 4 and 6, the sky will be cloudy and there may be light rain with thunder at many places. Dust storm may also occur in some areas. During this period, the wind speed is expected to be 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. However, the maximum temperature may remain between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.

Possibility of hailstorm in parts of eastern and western Madhya Pradesh

The effect of weather will also be seen in Central India and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of hailstorm in some parts of eastern and western Madhya Pradesh. Hail may also fall at some places in eastern Rajasthan. Dust storm is expected in western Rajasthan, while light to moderate rain with strong winds may occur in other areas of Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh.

There are signs of increasing monsoon activity in South India. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in Kerala and Mahe. Apart from this, heavy rain is also expected in some areas of Coastal Karnataka, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Lakshadweep. Rainfall activities may also increase in many areas of Konkan and Goa.

A warning of heavy rain has been issued in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya in Northeast India. At the same time, the rainy season is likely to continue in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman-Nicobar Islands. Change in weather can also be seen in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane areas of Maharashtra, where light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected.

Advice to be cautious in marine areas

The Meteorological Department has also advised to be cautious in marine areas. In view of heavy rains and rough sea conditions, fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea off Lakshadweep, Gulf of Mannar and off the Kerala-Karnataka coast. Overall, on June 4, the combined effect of monsoon and western disturbance can be seen in many parts of the country.
