The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a serious warning for a large part of the country. According to the department, the weather may suddenly turn dangerous in 19 states of the country during the next 24 to 72 hours. Due to the active weather systems in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, the extent of rainfall is increasing rapidly.

The South-West Monsoon has made its official arrival in Kerala on June 4, after which major changes are being seen in the weather across the country. According to the IMD report, due to western disturbance, cyclonic circulation and moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, west bengal And the situation may worsen in 19 states including Maharashtra. In many areas, there is a possibility of stormy winds blowing at a speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour and lightning.
High alert in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi-NCR
The weather in the country’s capital Delhi and surrounding areas (NCR) may take a sudden turn on June 5. There is a possibility of a dust storm at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour followed by heavy rain.
At the same time, the situation in Uttar Pradesh may be more serious. Winds can blow at a speed of 80 km/hour in many districts including Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow and Agra.
In Bihar too, maximum impact of weather will be seen on 5th and 6th June. Special warning has been issued in districts like Patna, Gaya, Buxar and Muzaffarnagar regarding heavy rain as well as lightning. There is a possibility of storm with a speed of 70 km/hour in cities like Bhopal and Indore of Madhya Pradesh.
Special precautions for tourists in the mountains
For tourists heading to the mountains during summer holidays meteorological department Has issued red alert. There is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and large hailstorms in many districts of Uttarakhand including Dehradun and Nainital. The risk of landslides has increased due to heavy rains in areas like Shimla, Manali and Kullu of Himachal Pradesh. Tourists have been advised to plan their journey only after seeing the latest weather updates.

In view of the bad weather, the administration has issued an advisory. People have been advised to avoid coming out of their homes during strong storms and rains and stay in safe places.
