The troubles of Patna’s famous teacher Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir seem to be increasing. Police have registered an FIR against Khan sir, his two personal security guards and other unidentified associates in the case of vandalism and firing at Khan Global Studies (KGS Centre). In the FIR, a case has been registered under serious sections like attempt to murder, Arms Act and spreading terror among the common people. The most important aspect of the case is the alleged statement of the guards that came out during police interrogation. On the night of 2 June 2026, there was an uproar outside the Khan Institute of Global Studies in Patna. It is alleged that a crowd of 15-20 people reached outside the institute, tore the banners at the gate and assaulted security guard Chunchun Kumar. After this a tense atmosphere was created outside the campus. A few days after the incident, a video went viral on social media, in which two people were seen firing with rifles. After the video went viral, the police came into action and started investigating its authenticity.
What was found in the investigation of the viral video?
When Kadamkuan police station reached Khan Global Studies, people nearby identified the two persons seen in the video as personal security guards of Khan sir. After this the police contacted Khan sir. According to the police document, Khan sir also admitted that the two men seen in the video were his personal security guards and they were appointed through a Noida-based security agency. After some time, both the guards reached the institute with their licensed weapons, where the police matched them with the video and after confirming their identity, they were taken to the police station for questioning.
What did the guards tell the police?
According to the statement recorded in the police application, the arrested guards Pradeep Kumar and Talebar Singh told that on the night of June 2, when a crowd gathered outside and the commotion increased, they came out with Khan sir with their weapons. The guards claim that at that time Khan sir and some of his other associates told them to see what they are looking at, fire immediately on the crowd, I will understand whatever happens. According to the statement, following this alleged instruction, both the guards fired two rounds each from their .315 bore rifles i.e. a total of four rounds. The guards also claimed that Khan sir was present at the spot at the time of the firing.
Who are the arrested guards?
The identities of the two security personnel arrested by the police have been revealed as follows-
- Pradeep Kumar, resident of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh
- Talebar Singh, resident of Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh
Both had licensed .315 bore rifles. Police have seized weapons and cartridges and sent them for forensic investigation.

According to the police report, Khan Sir alias Faisal Khan is accused of allegedly directing his security guards to open fire, which created an atmosphere of fear and panic among the common people. On this basis, the police have named Khan sir, both the guards and other unknown associates in the FIR.

Patna SSP Karthikeya Sharma has confirmed that Khan sir’s name has been included in the FIR and investigation into the case is going on. Police will take further action on the basis of viral video, forensic report, statements of eyewitnesses and other evidence.
