DynaSIF Equity X-Top 100 Long-Short Fund Launched by 360 One Mutual Fund
Mumbai, June 5, 2026: 360 One Mutual Fund today announced the launch of DynaSIF Equity X-Top 100 Long-Short Fund under its Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) division DynaSIF. It is an open-ended equity SIF strategy, designed to achieve long-term capital growth through structural, cyclical and tactical investment opportunities primarily in mid-cap and small-cap equities. It also provides the stability of taking limited short exposure to equities through derivatives on shares other than large-cap shares. This NFO will open on June 5, 2026 and close on June 19, 2026.
India’s mid- and small-cap sector offers an attractive long-term investment opportunity due to strong earnings growth potential and improved corporate governance. Making the most of this opportunity requires a disciplined framework for selecting quality stocks and proactive risk management, including the ability to take short positions through derivatives to generate alpha at all stages of the market cycle.
Investment approach
The investment strategy aims to achieve long-term capital growth through active management of mid- and small-cap equities, with at least 65 percent of the portfolio allocated to companies outside the top 100 companies by market capitalization. It seeks to minimize losses by strategically hedging its equity positions with offsetting derivatives during weak market phases.
This investment strategy follows a multi-layered and dynamically calibrated approach. It will have a core allocation of 65 per cent to 100 per cent in mid and small-cap equities outside the top 100 companies, including REITs. When valuations are favourable, up to 35 per cent can be opportunistically allocated to large-cap equities, while for a defensive position up to 25 per cent can be invested in debt instruments such as treasury bills, money market securities and corporate bonds.
This investment strategy has the potential to take up to 25 per cent unhedged short positions through derivatives exposure in mid and small caps, with the aim of capturing returns from distressed or weak businesses. Additionally, up to 20 percent can be invested in InvITs (InvITs), which provide an alternative income opportunity from real assets.
CEO of 360 One Asset Management Limited Mr. Raghav Iyengar said, “India’s mid- and small-cap sector is currently one of the most attractive investment destinations in the world. The sector is deep, diversified and based on constructive growth drivers. But, it is also a sector that values discipline as much as faith. DynaSIF Equity X-Top 100 Long-Short Fund is designed for investors who want to meaningfully participate in this opportunity with a focus on risk management over market cycles. At 360 One Asset Management Limited, our commitment has always been to offer investors structures that are not only innovative but truly in tune with market behavior.”
Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of 360One Asset Management Limited, Mr. Anup Maheshwari said, “Outside the top 100 companies, active management has more room to work and this can create opportunities on both the long and short sides. A company that is growing earnings rapidly may be undervalued, while a company that is losing its grip may be overvalued. The fund is designed to explore both. Long positions to stay with companies that are progressing and short positions to take potential gains when businesses start to decline. Together, they aim to The aim is to deliver better risk-adjusted returns to the portfolio.”
