IND VS AFG: India won the toss, decided to bat
New Chandigarh: India won the toss and elected to bat first in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan on Saturday. Here today Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bat first.
Gill troubled by heat
After the toss, Gill said that it is very hot and humid here. The pitch will gradually become slower and bouncier. It’s very special, I grew up playing here. It is a great honor to captain here. Preparation has been good. Got good sleep for a few days. After this there are nine Test matches, we have many home Test matches. It’s a matter of making the right combination. Manav Suthar is making his debut.
‘Fully ready for challenges’
Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi said that to be honest, we also wanted to bat first because the wicket looked very good. We have to play good cricket because the toss is not in our hands. We are completely ready for challenges and we like challenges. We are very well prepared for this match. We also had a good camp in Kabul.
