Jantar Mantar of the country’s capital Delhi has once again become witness to a major political conflict. On Saturday, such a powerful demonstration took place here under the banner of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), which has created a stir in the political circles of entire Delhi. This big demonstration was led by the organization’s founder Abhijeet Dipke. While addressing the public from the stage, he raised such sharp questions about the country’s communal politics, crumbling education system and the future of the youth, whose echoes are now being heard everywhere. Let us tell you in detail what major things came to light during the demonstration at Jantar Mantar.
Crowd of youth and veterans gathered at Jantar Mantar
The most special thing about this demonstration was that not only Delhi, but thousands of youth, students and social workers from every corner of the country took part in it. The entire Jantar Mantar area echoed with the slogans of the protesters throughout the day. To increase the enthusiasm of the youth, the country’s well-known environmentalist and social activist Sonam Wangchuk also specially participated in this demonstration, seeing which the enthusiasm of the crowd present there doubled.
Abhijeet Dipke’s sharp questions and mother’s fear
As soon as he took the stage, Abhijit Dipke made a strong attack on the current politics of the country. Asking a direct question to the public, he said that what has been the benefit to the common people of the country from the Hindu-Muslim politics that has been going on in the country for years? He stressed that the country does not need religious polarization at this time, but needs discussion on real and fundamental issues. During the speech, Deepke also got emotional and shared that his mother is very scared at this time and she is afraid that the government might put her son in jail.
Anger erupted over unemployment and poor education system
During the demonstration, the biggest concern of the youth was seen regarding employment. Dipke expressed deep concern over the rapidly increasing unemployment in the country and said that providing jobs and new employment opportunities to the youth should be the first priority of any government. Along with this, the students participating in the protest demanded major reforms in the current education system of the country. Many speakers talked about bringing complete transparency in the conduct of examinations and government recruitment processes, so that the future of any youth is not spoiled.
Echo of resignation of Union Education Minister and police action
The anger of this demonstration was not limited to speeches only. The protesters present at Jantar Mantar raised slogans against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and repeatedly reiterated the demand for his resignation. The students alleged that the government has completely failed to resolve many major issues related to education and examinations in the country. However, Delhi Police took action to control the protest and detained 6 people from the spot.
Earthquake and peaceful ending on social media
The impact of the protests taking place at Jantar Mantar was clearly visible not only on the ground but also on the internet. Different hashtags related to the protest remained in the top trends on social media platforms throughout the day and lakhs of youth also supported the campaign online. It is a matter of relief that despite the huge crowd and heavy presence of police, the entire program was conducted in a very peaceful manner and no untoward incident or violence was reported from anywhere.
Ruckus broke out between party and opposition and Deepke’s big claim
Now a period of rhetoric has started among the major political parties of the country regarding this demonstration. There are different reactions on this from the ruling party and the opposition. While some opposition leaders have called it the real and legitimate voice of the youth of the country, some leaders from the ruling party have called it a completely planned political campaign.
While talking to the media after the end of the demonstration, Abhijeet Dipke made a big and shocking revelation. He said that he has been suffering a lot for the last 15 days and due to continuous threats, he had to leave his house. Dipke said that today’s protest was just a small ‘trailer’, the real fight is yet to come. Along with this, he told that after a long gap of one year, today he is finally going back home safely to meet his parents.
