DU Professor Murder: 2 masked men entered the flat, changed clothes and came out; Mystery woman captured in CCTV!

Delhi University Assistant Professor Murder Case: An important clue has come to light during the investigation into the murder of Devosmita Paul, an assistant professor of English who teaches at Shivaji College (under Delhi University). In the CCTV footage obtained by the police, two masked men were seen entering his flat in Vasundhara Enclave, which is located in East Delhi. According to reports, the footage includes a man and a woman. Let us tell you that this incident happened the next day on which the body of the professor was recovered from the flat.

According to the police, his body was found in a blood-soaked condition in his flat on Thursday. Initial investigation has revealed that the murder was committed by hitting him on the head with a heavy object, due to which he suffered serious injuries and died.
In the footage of CCTV cameras received by the investigating agencies, masked men were seen going towards Devosmita’s flat on Wednesday. According to sources, both of them stayed in the premises for about 40 to 45 minutes and then left from there. At present, investigators are trying to identify them and find out their possible connections to the murder.

The postmortem report found that Devosmita Paul was murdered between 3 pm and 6 pm on Wednesday. However, the police are still investigating the activities of the last hours so that the events can be fully understood. This investigation has also revealed that Devosmita had last talked to her mother on phone at around 12:30 pm on Wednesday. Family members say that she seemed normal during the conversation and did not mention any kind of danger. The matter came to light when his sister Devrati Paul informed the police on Thursday. His sister says that she was trying to contact her sister since morning, and when she could not find any information, she reached the flat and found it locked from outside. Then, when they got suspicious, they broke the lock and entered inside. They found Devosmita’s dead body lying drenched in blood.

However, the police have registered a case of murder under section 103(1) of the Indian Judicial Code (BNS). According to sources, Devosmita lived alone in the flat, while her husband lives in Bengaluru.
