Search operation enters 16th day

Amid reports of the presence of terrorists in the forests of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan area of Rajouri district, a joint search operation by security forces continued for the 16th consecutive day. Security forces combed the forests on Sunday and also opened fire at a suspected hideout.

According to sources, during the operation, the Army fired precautionary shots at a location where suspicious activity was detected, but there was no retaliatory fire.

Despite this, security agencies continued intensive search operations in the area to track down any terrorists who may be hiding there. Security forces have cordoned off a vast stretch of the forest and intensified surveillance and search operations.

The operation involves personnel from the Army, police, and other security agencies. Drones, advanced surveillance equipment, and specialised search teams are being used to comb even the most inaccessible areas.

Officials said the operation was launched after security agencies received information about suspicious activity in the area and would continue until the entire forest belt is thoroughly searched.

Security has been tightened in the region, and local residents have been urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to the security agencies.
