But recently he has shared such an incident from his life, which everyone was surprised to hear. Imtiaz Ali told that during his college days in Delhi, he was picked up from the hostel at midnight due to a political dispute. Let us know what he told about this-

Recalling his Hindu College days in Delhi, Imtiaz Ali said in an interview that this was the time when he was studying in the Hindu College of Delhi University. Let us tell you that Imtiaz had completed his graduation from here in 1993.

According to him, college politics was very active during that period. Competition and conflict between different student organizations was common on campus. During this time, he was kidnapped due to a minor dispute.

Why was Imtiaz Ali kidnapped?

Imtiaz Ali told that a political poster was pasted on the front wall of his hostel. He felt that instead of putting the poster on the main wall of the hostel, it should be put on the side wall. At that time, he said the same thing to those who put up posters, but his words were ignored. After this, Imtiaz himself removed the poster from there and pasted it on the front wall.

People reached hostel at 2 pm

Imtiaz Ali further told that a few days after this incident, at around 2 o’clock in the night, one of his roommates told that some people had entered the hostel looking for him. After some time, some people reached the hostel and were asked to come with them. However, when he asked where he was being taken, nothing was told. According to Imtiaz, he was taken away from there in a cycle rickshaw. At that time he could not understand what was going to happen next. Due to which he was very scared.

Interrogated in front of gang leader

The director told that he was taken to a place which looked like a government quarter. There was a local gang leader present there, who was allegedly associated with a political organization.

He started asking Imtiaz questions about tearing the poster. Imtiaz clearly said that he had not torn the poster. He had just removed it from the main wall of the hostel and pasted it somewhere else.

How did you save your life?

The gang leader asked the people present there whether Imtiaz had really torn the poster. On this a person present there refused. He further told that when Imtiaz had changed the place of the poster, the gang leader got angry. He realized that he had been given wrong information. After this, the gang leader had an argument with them and he slapped his own partner in anger. After which the dispute ended here and they were allowed to leave safely.

Talking about work front, Imtiaz Ali is in discussion these days about his upcoming film ‘I will be back’. Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, Sharvari and Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in important roles in this film. This film will be released in theaters on June 12.
