The prices of diesel, LPG, CNG and other essential commodities are continuously increasing, making the daily life of millions of families more expensive.
The senior AAP leader said that the central government is putting more economic burden on the citizens by making the excuse of international developments including the US-Iran war. He said that despite coming to power on the promise of controlling inflation and providing relief from high oil prices, the BJP has consistently failed to fulfill these promises.
He further said that the increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices has already impacted small traders, street vendors and local dhabas/hotels. Harpal Singh Cheema said that the increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders has already affected small traders, street vendors and local food shops. Now due to increase in domestic LPG prices, the financial pressure on families and small businessmen will increase further.
The Finance Minister said that the economic policies of the Modi government have weakened the economic condition of the country and reduced the purchasing power of the common people. He jokingly said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often visits foreign countries, but his government’s foreign and economic policies have completely failed to provide relief to the citizens of the country.
Demanding immediate withdrawal of increased LPG prices, Harpal Singh Cheema said that the central government should take concrete steps to control inflation instead of increasing oil prices again and again. He said that the continuous increase in the prices of oil and LPG is pushing the country towards economic crisis. The Center should stop burdening the common people and focus on providing real relief to the public.
